Chip we hardly knew ye....

Let's see. Been about what, 134 weeks give or take a month since I last posted? Yeah, I probably should post a little more often. And from now on, I actually may, especially if more things like this happen to me...

I came home from work today at lunch to grab something to eat. I open the door and hear a little squeak. Look into the kitchen and there's a chipmunk racing across my kitchen floor to go hide behind my stove. I hear it scrambling around behind the stove for a few seconds and then silence. I think to myself "Alright, there's a hole behind my stove, chipmunk has a nest or something back there. I'll pull the stove out tonight, plug the hole and end of problem". Come home from work 5 hours later in a raging thunderstorm and forget about finding the chipmunk. Talk to Karen, eat dinner and log on to CoV. Play Cov for a few hours until my eyes start to water and decide to take a break, maybe head downstairs and do the dishes. Get downstairs and decide to use the washroom. Turn on the light and BAM!

There's the chipmunk...dead...floating in the toilet. At some point in time between 12:30 and 9:30 pm, that stupid chipmunk wandered into my bathroom, fell into the toilet and drowned (or was so disgusted by my presence that it decided to drown itself).

Funeral services will be held tonight as I fish the little bugger out. He will be buried in the landfill since tomorrow is garbage day (convenient, no?)
