I went into it thinking I totally knew what I was doing, since I was pretty comfortable with the front derailer by the time I went to bed last night. But it wasn't cooperating. I was only messing with the cable tension knob. And... it was not very responsive.
The one I bought yesterday, that shouldn't need fixing.
I mentioned to the salesman that the front derailer seemed off. It was making noise when in both top gears, and it felt hesitant to shift into the top front gear. ( Read more... )
Ten years ago I bought Specialized Rockhopper mountain bike, because I wanted a bike that could withstand anything. Then I mostly used it on the street, and hated how inefficient it felt.
