Ripio, an Argentina-based cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the release of two products: a cryptocurrency tutorial that will help beginners navigate the market and a Web3 wallet, which the company aims to position as a simple entry into the metaverse.
While other Latin American exchanges have laid off some employees to survive in the current market, Ripio is expanding to Spain.
Ripio Releases Educational Book on Cryptography
Ripio, a Latin American-based exchange, earlier this week introduced two products aimed at improving knowledge about cryptocurrency and the experience of its users in the metaverse. Firstly, Ripio has released a cryptocurrency tutorial designed to help newcomers to the industry learn about the basics of blockchain.
The book, which will be available for free download by users, is part of the exchange philosophy aimed at bringing crypto education to as many people as possible. Ignacio Carballo, an economist at the University of Buenos Aires, said that most people using cryptocurrency in Latin America started using it after the Covid-19 pandemic. At the launch event, he said:
In this context, this book is very useful because it gives consumers the tools to use digital assets responsibly.
Ripo explained that the book "develops fundamental topics to understand and take the first steps in this universe: Bitcoin, Blockchain, Mining, Ethereum, stablecoins and trading."
Web3 Metaverse Wallet
Another announced product was the new Web3 wallet, designed to simplify the entry of Ripio customers into the metaverse. This is not the same as the Ripio wallet, and it will work as a multi-chain wallet in the same way as Metamask, allowing users to process funds from different chains, manage NFT and connect to various decentralized applications from a web navigator such as Google Chrome.
Sebastian Serrano, co-founder and CEO of Ripio, stated:
The goal of the product is to accelerate the entry into a new stage in the crypto economy, including popular digital collectibles or NFT, games for earnings, DeFi protocols, digital art markets and others.
The Ripio metaverse wallet will have a new storage system, which, according to Serrano, has been in development for more than a year and will be more efficient than comparable Web3 wallets with self-service systems. The wallet is already available for beta testers in Argentina.
The company also announced its expansion to Spain after announcing its services in Colombia in April.
