San Fran #2
Had a good day yesterday. First of all, I had another leisurely breakfast, and then once I was dressed, I wandered down the road to meet up with Vonn for lunch. We met at The House of Nanking. It was a 10 block walk to get there!!! Got caught up on what we've been doing, what he's been doing, and reminisced a bit about his parents. When we left, he said he does get to Seattle periodically, and he would call me for lunch when he does. I then meandered back home, looking in windows as I walked. Another 10 very long blocks. I got home around 3ish, and needed the recovery time, with shoes off and feet up. Amber got off a bit early, and was home by 6 instead of her normal 7. So we wandered off to have dinner at a place called ZoeTrope. It was 10 very very long blocks, that we walked. After a lovely dinner, we then decided to stop at a bar or two on the way home, so it wasn't quite so long a walk. The neat one was the Vesuvios. After a couple of glasses of wine, and some photo's, (Amber posted one of me on facebook), we wandered on. By the time we got home it was 10:00, so we didn't stay late. I needed to put my feet up again. Today I'm really stiff and sore. Meanwhile, while Amber and I were out, Dave went to a ball game. Courtesy of his boss. He got home not that long after Amber and I did, so we had to try a taste test on a couple of bottles of the same wine, but different years, to see if there was a diff. We all liked the 2005 best.
Another fun day - even if it did rain during the day.
Now we are up and dressed, and soon we are headed for fisherman's wharf, and we will catch the ferry to Alcatraz. Don't know what we are doing after that, but tonight Dave is going to do one of his famous bar-b-ques.
