My 5yo is just learning to swim, and I wouldn't call her a swimmer yet. 4yo isn't even near knowing how. 8yo can swim but isn't confident. It takes time and practice, and eventually they will get it.

Ellery just got over Lyme Disease. She had 1-2 really sick days (aches, fever), and one bullseye spot (itchy/painful), and then the antibiotics kicked in and she bounced back very fast. (She had never previously had antibiotics, and I avoid them whenever I can, so that was my big huge struggle there...to give them or not...but it was definitely the right decision.) Hugs to your mom! Hope she bounces back just as a fast as Ellery did.

Those are pretty much exactly the symptoms my mom has. So far the antibiotics don't seem to have helped that much although she did say she was feeling less naseous today. She has only been on them for 3 days.

Sometimes Western medicine wins, I just wish they took a more comprehensive view, not everything can be fixed with pills.

Thank you! Mom is very into the alternative medicine thing, she has treated her fibromaylsia herself with supplements quite successfully. I will pass all this along and see what I can pick up for her. I should have thought of the garlic, it's such a great natural antibiotic.
