I've been going up to L.A. every week for the last couple of months and it's been pretty cool. I grew up down here, but really... How many freakin' freeways do you need? Let's see... I was on the 5, the 405, the 110, the 105, the 605, the 805, the 52 and of course the 8. But I digress...
I got an opportunity to go to Roscoe's Chicken n' Waffles today with a co-worker who is becoming more like a friend. The place is located in a lovely spot in E. L.A. on Manchester & Main. BEST.CHICKEN.EVER. Who knew you could have chicken & waffles on the same plate and love them? The grits were good, too. Reminded me of Granny's cooking. Ah, but if they only had patata (potato for those that don't speak West-by-God Virginia-ese) pancakes. I don't think I'll need to eat for a few days now. Better than Waffle House!
I miss everyone in Seattle and my decision or no - I'm not settling in here. I want to visit as soon as possible and I hope everyone up there knows that I miss them even if I have been "offline" so-to-speak. I also miss the Cats. Life is so... tedious without them.
Enough for now. I might get all gushy and crap. Miss you all. Especially at this holiday time.
