*SIGH*

Its one thing to ask "You want kids?" but to asking someone WHEN they are going to and then to insinuate that they will even if they don't want to borders on harassment! >< *So frustrated*

Sadly, one of my coworkers at work used to harass me about kids too. It finally took me going, very strongly, "I am ~NOT~ interested in EVER altering my life for children. I DON'T want kids!" to get her to back off. ^^;; (and now she'll tell anyone who asks me in front of her "No, she doesn't want kids." ^^;; )

And I think its weird you started getting this now that you are in your boss's position (though I guess its just cause he's out with a kid) cause one of my married friends was recently promoted at her job and she started getting a lot of that too at first!! She was super pissed off about it for a while, but then started just saying "I'm actually not comfortable discussing this with you" any time it was brought up, and most intelligent people --fearing a sexual harassment allegations-- usually dropped it and didn't bring it up again.

That does fall under sexual harassment you know. If it makes you uncomfortable, and you ask the people to stop and they don't then you have ~every~ right in the world to report it.

And I agree with justnuts! What if you had a medical issue that didn't allow you to have kids! I mean, seriously being unable to have kids is a serious point of agony for some women! I think you should let a supervisor know so the subject can be addressed to people in your company. Empathy training time! Those types of questions are REALLY personal, rude and potential points of pain and embarrassment!

(I wouldn't send an email out to everyone about it though, that's kind of like...letting everyone know your business which is what your trying to avoid. XD)
