state of a rose

had my semi-monthly meeting with the "life coach" at work. she's not exactly a therapist, but she's there to help people figure out coping mechanisms for stress and too much to do, and my doc recommended i see her. so far we've discussed benefits of to-do lists and yoga and breaking things into manageable chunks and she's given me the perspective ( Read more... )

*clinks ginger ale cups* I got your email this morning and BLAR we both need new tummies. :(

And here I thought you've been taking something for depression all along. :o We knew for years you had the signs so I assumed you had an official diagnosis. :o SURPRISE.

It's really not so bad. :3 Then again I've lived with it since I was young and I can promise you there were some seriously shitty times when they tried to find the right pills. But with monitoring (which is seriously the important part and why most people get into trouble), a support system, and not being ashamed that your brain is wired with the Special Collectors Edition Motherboard you'll get better. :3

Hell, once you're on even keel imagine all the projects that have been in limbo that you can finish. :D (*waves 10-9* If I can do it, you can do it. :3)

And now, make my ears stop being plugged up. X_X I took a Claritin. What's the dealy-o. :|

Yeah, the docs were all of the opinion that if we can get the physical body stuff sorted out then the rest should be tons easier. x_x

I've hereby decided that brain chemistry sucks. Especially hard-to-pin-down ones like yours and mine.

I hope all your tests help you get things sorted out, and yay for having a life coach who actually goes through your medical history and hunts for the problem.

My stomach has been acting badly too, but weirdly enough, raw cabbage helps. Sadly I do not like cabbage. But. It does help. Also those dry cardboard like wheat crackers crap what are they called.... ... ... ... *brain failure*

*hugs you*

YES! Total suckage. I do not approve. v_v

It helps to have life coach + GP all within twenty feet of each other, so they can just poke their head out the door and flag somebody down. [g] I'd be in sorry shape without the wellness center, I'm sure.

Cabbage? That's weird. I haven't tried that. I'm keeping down fish (like, barely spiced broiled salmon) and steamed veggies okay, as long as I supplement with large amounts of stuffing/bread/baked potato/ etc.

And now they've taken 4 vials of blood out of me and I'm all achy headed and loopy. Meh. v_v

[HUGS]
