I swear to god, am I the only person on this team who knows how to use a comma? (This is a sentence like "The salad had several ingredients, including, radishes, Romaine, carrots and tomatoes." You and I both know I'm going to shove an Oxford comma in after carrots, but be with me as I assure you that THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE THAT'S GOT ME FUMING.)

Got all my cold calls finally finished today, and I'll tell you what, when you have thirty-five people to call and eight of them are unreachable for reasons like their numbers having been disconnected, the people at their offices never having heard of them, and similar, you're probably not going to get the thirty interviews you're aiming for. I got an early start today, thanks at least in part to the weekend's aggressive napping schedule. I do not especially care for the fact that a fifteen-minute difference in when I leave the house results, on days when I drive, in a thirty-minute difference in when I arrive at work -- so I can arrive at 8:45 or 9:15, but never jam today 9:00 -- but ( Read more... )

Lots of phone calls to recruit participants for next phase of study. HAAATE cold calling. Hate it.

And have now snapped unfairly at office-mate for asking me questions about a project she inherited from me. Sigh. It's going to be That Sort of day, apparently.

Thinking of doing a half-day at work today and then a half-day working at home amid other things, because am in no way prepared for Green Bay. Aie. Someone remind me, around 1pm, to get out of there, mmkay?

Three-day work week, at least, and then Green Bay fun time. (So three days of combined work/increasingly frantic GB prep.)
