Ok. That's it. I'm moving to Germany. They have biodiesel stations everywhere, Oktoberfest, and apparently one can buy a KTM bike (supermoto 690) for a real bargain. Now just think about all the nice hills i could get lost in. Mmmm. Midsummer Alps trekking anyone? :P
IBM has officially switched us over from Remedy to something called Vantive or Vanweb. It's a web based Java app for work order tickets and ordering supplies. In which case, I officially miss Remedy. I've always disliked Java because it's slow, clunky, and the language is hard to grasp. Everytime I've used it, it drives like aunt Elma on a snowy winter's night! The most responsive language i ever encountered was Python. Now if IBM had their beans together, they'd make Vanweb out of Python and all would be well...the likelihood of that happening is slim to none though. This weeks' project-of-sorts is "setting up" Lotus Notes internally for our team base and if I'm not mistaken that runs on Java too. Waaaaaa!
