The goat and I stopped by a couple of new places this weekend.

Sushi Rock, took over the space of a restaurant the goat and I really enjoyed but never took off which was Chinese-Peruvian fusion. Now reopened as a sushi place with a rock and roll theme, the space is visually very cool. I love the concept - each of the dishes are named after ( Read more... )

Tonight was DCI Arlington, with my favorite corps there - Madison ScoutsIt was a small show - only 4 corps. But all were good corps. The Crossmen led the show off with a good showing, the highlight being the rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah in the middle of their show. The goat and I went to Bozzelli's Italian Deli this weekend for lunch. A new location opened up in Crystal City and we're always up for a good sandwich. Because this location is so small they also have a very limited menu, but it has everything one needs and the sandwiches were very good. For Valentines Day I treated my co-workers to some cupcakes from Abrocakes. If you're in the DC area, you have to check them out for all your cake baking needs. Best red velvet cupcakes we've all had (and we've all had just a few red velvet cupcakes in our day).... Delicious!
