Life on the Frontier
Earlier I discovered that someone has taken the source code to what was one of my favourite games (yes, even with the bugs) as a kid and they're in the process of updating it to run under windows. Not only that but they're massively updating the visuals as well.
The best part? It's already downloadable and playable.
It's Frontier First Encounters, the idea is you start off with a simple ship, fly around the galaxy (yes, the game somehow manages to simulate the entire galaxy, you can go anywhere), making money for upgrades and new ships.
I spent so much time playing the game and it's predecessor that it was easy to get right back into it today. So there goes my productivity for the week/month ;)
