True about Vilnius. They also have the main "Voke-III" kitchen furniture factory (only office of this company is in Vilnius but all manufacturing is in this township), also "Svytejimas" factory which makes road signs and other supplementary equipment for motorways, log-hut producing factory, etc. And also they have general Ramanauskas-Vanagas military training center where all soldiers performs training for Afghanistan, etc. :)))

Thanks. Are these industries all post-Soviet? And if yes what was Nemencine industrial specialization during Soviet times?

For example I learn that in Pabrade (which I'll describe tomorrow) there was plant that manufactured calculating machines.

All these are in principal post-soviet period enterprises. In soviet times there where drain pipes factory, dairy, small works of furniture, etc. In principle nothing serious. In Pabrade today the main factory is "Intersurgical" - maker of medical oxygen masks, anaesthetic care and some other oxygen care products (90% of worldwide production of some products of such type).
