Conservative Christians claim that "Merry Christmas" should not be offensive to anybody at all ever. It is a harmless, well-intentioned seasonal greeting. And, anyone who has a problem with it is obviously insecure in their own faith, otherwise they'd just take it in the goodwill it was intended and move on.
On the other hand. "Happy Holidays" is extremely offensive. It denotes Christian persecution and hatred of Jesus and an effort to exclude Christians and Christianity from the American public. It's indicative of a "War on Christmas" and cannot be tolerated.
How does THAT make sense?
