Mexico's Mystery: Why Is Swine Flu Deadlier There?

Man, why title an article with a question when you don't answer it in the article?!
Is it elitist to even suggest that every other country where the virus has travelled has better public health? That it's citizens are generally healthier to begin with? How insane would it be if it turned out to be something genetic...I can't imagine Mexicans are genetically different from the most of rest of us, not in any significant way. But maybe there's some kind of environmental thing the pre-conditions them to a fatal reaction to the virus. Like natives being used to bacteria in water, food, etc. How would that play out here in the States given our current tenuous state of affairs with illegal immigrants, most of whom are perceived to be Mexican?
