Yeah, since my job now pretty much entails talking about weird food all day I have definitely had a few conversations about durians. I am also very intrigued. One girl I work with described it like "eating ice cream while sitting in an outhouse" ha!

Yeah, I heard duck is expensif, but man do I wanna eats me some tasty duck flesh! What's "foie gras"? I know I've heard of it, but I have no idea what it is!
Duck is delish! And, I dunno..it's not that pricey I guess. Usually around $20 for a breast, which is pretty big. And it's not something you'd buy everyday (unless you're rich). Good for a splurge :)
And foie gras is fattened duck liver. I've actually never eaten liver on its own, but I Loooooove pate. And foie gras is like pate on delicious crack. Recently there's been a bit of a hub-bub about it because some bad farms that raise the ducks force feed them, and keep them immobile in awful conditions. But a lot of farms just feed the ducks awesome, fatty food and let them do their thing...which doesn't seem so bad to me ;)
Hehehe! :)
