chump change

Dave is in the kitchen cooking omelets and it smells goooooood.

Things are bien. I'm feelin' good these days. Still on the Herbal Magic. Not sure exactly how much I've lost thus far; I was doing awesome a couple of weeks ago and then I had a huge slip-up weekend and gained back like 3 pounds so that bummed. But I'm on track again, so all is well! I feel so much healthier and less food fills me up now, which is nice.

Dave and I are probably moving into a 2 bedroom apartment down the hall from our current one, soon. WITH a balcony. YAY. We looked at one of the 2 bedroom units, and it's an extra bedroom, PLUS a dining room next to the kitchen with a chandelier (!!!) and the kitchen has nicer tiles and so does the bathroom. The only thing that I hate is that the dining room and bedroom have carpet. UGH. Carpet suuuucks. Oh well. The extra room will be so great. That means I could put our dining table in the dining room, and get a microwave stand for the extra space in the kitchen to save counter space. And we could get a futon for the spare bedroom and put all of our guitars/pianos/amps/musical crap in there so the living room isn't so crampy. Yes! I have always wanted a 2 bedroom apartment.

Last night we were in St. Thomas for a house party that Midwives & Knife Party played at (and another one of our friends' bands). It was Dave's first show with Knife Party and he did great! :)
I like watching him just play bass in the background; it's a nice change from him being in your face screaming all the time (in Midwives, not in our real life hahaha). Anyway, the party was fun; good times, good peeps. I was having the day from hell yesterday at work, so I was glad to be able to go party it all off.

Tonight we're going to Holly and Ryan's for a "dinner party"... which, with Holly and Ryan, consists of eating good food, drinking until we can't feel feelings anymore, playing ridiculous boardgames and dancing around like dorks with the music blasting and pissing off all the neighbours. Oh, and playing with their awesome cat, Charlotte.
Yeah. That's my kind of dinner party.

friends, fun!, partying, living with dave, life, random
