NaNoWriMo Tour
I missed it last year, but this year I decided to go on the twin cities write-in tour. I started at stop #2, Uncommon Grounds in Uptown. It was dark in there, but cozy, and my screen was bright enough. I got a good number of words in, too. Then we moved on to Blue Moon, which I was only at for around 45 mins. I left to go to Karen's party, and honestly, I wish I would have skipped most of it. The part where we went back to her house and played Rock Band 2 was fun, but Dave & Buster's mostly sucked. After dropping Charles off and stopping off at home for a bathroom break, I went to Perkins to continue the tour. I got there at around 3am and realized that I was completely insane. :)
I chugged a couple cherry cokes, did a word war and a half, and crossed the 30k mark before I had to give up and go home. That was at 5:30am. I went home and got about 4 hours of sleep, then got up and went to Barnes and Noble at the Mall for the end of the tour. I got there around noon and by the end of the tour at 2pm, I got 2000 more words written. All told, I got 6000 words over the whole tour and my word count looks mighty good.
Once the tour ended, I figured I could look around the Mall since I hadn't been there in a while. Plus I wanted a 30k word prize. I had to go to every fucking gift shop at the Nickelodeon park, buuuut ....
