Power
Yay! The power's back on. =)
The power went off in our neighborhood around 6:30 Monday night. Fortunately it was cooler yesterday than it was over the weekend, because the power came back on last night just after 11pm. Everything in the fridge is gone. freezer too. We didn't have much in there, so it could've been worse.
It was really nice last night. so after a little walk around to look for utility trucks (none) we decided to have a party in Rachel's (our carless neighbor) parking spot. Went to the store and got a cooler, ice, beer, soda, chips and cookies. Brought down some tables and chairs and a little radio and some candles. The candles didn't want to stay lit and it was sooooo quiet that the radio seemed extra loud. After about 5 minutes we took everything back upstairs. we were both worried that someone might look out their window and think the laundry room was on fire.
E and I make a good team. We got along fine without A/C and TV and other outside entertainment. Go us!
