What I did on my Summer Vacation, part 1.
So I'm on vacation right now. Woo Hoo! Tuesday was the first day of my break, and I go back to work on Wednesday.
Tuesday I hung around and did absolutely nothing.
Wednesday I re-arranged a ton of furniture all by myself. I felt fine while I was working, but my body said "fuck you" that night. (E was at work until midnight that night)
Thursday I hung around and did nothing. I got a massive craving for Chicken Tikka Masala from
New Delhi Palace.
Today Eric and I went down to Old Town Pasadena for some NDP lunch buffet. The dinner there is great... the lunch buffet was kinda ehh... there's not really a lot of room for all the different dishes, so they just had out the greatest hits. And only the buffet is available for lunch. No Tikka for me. =( We drove all the way over to the
Lakeshore Learning Store on Foothill and Michillinda to get some stickers. Then all the way back to Raymond and Green for
Blick art supplies where Eric got two paints and a giant portfolio for $20 total.
On our way back we decided to stop at this little italian place that I pass every on my way home from work.
Marino Ristorante on Wilcox and Melrose is much fancier than it looks from the outside. The entrees were okay, but the desserts were fabulous! We each had different flavors of gelatto and coffee. When we were about halfway through with desert the waiter came out with two little bunches of
Champagne grapes on ice "compliments of the chef". The place is tiny and pricey but very worth it for a special occassion. Oh, the decor is very cheesy. Lots of black lacquer and pink. Not unlike New Delhi Palace. *shrug*
Tomorrow we have a birthday BYOBBQ in Pasadena in the evening... I think we'll be getting a little New Delhi take-out on the way. Of course we'll be getting extra to share with the other folks there. =)
Alas, we won't make it to Bat's Day this year. It's just too spendy for us. =(
