Can someone please sum up the amount of times the human race has wronged a forward generation?

The days pass and we've always thought we'd remember those we've met barely five years ago but
The months shift into half a decade and I always thought you'd remain in my heart.
I was looking at your picture today to find that I've forgotten your birthday, ruined the moment in my lack of memory.
But your face looks perfect paired alongside the sky in the wrong context of day
And I can't help but smile when I think of times we'd walk to Moorpark defying the thoughts of classy women in their 19th century Fords gazing out their windows longing for more
Than life inside of a country-style home, lawns always fresh and mowed lusher than the grass of meadows misted in Spring's dew
Paired with refusal to step outside for a breath of air disadherent to scents of newly dried potpourri; currently born carnations instead
But as I stare into the past pondering how a valley of such history can turn even a world wide web trend into vintage internet
And compare it to a city so new, fallen into superficial values of exterior acceptance, I cannot begin to describe the disappointment I encounter when the fact that honorable morals of a good heart have been forgotten occurs repeatingly in my mind.
It can become exasperating watching the world continue to slap it's youth in the face with each new generation...
I miss you North Hollywood, and your carefree, traditional ways.
