OK, no more geeking out.
I am awake because I have a maybe 99.5 deg F temperature, but my set point is about 96 F.
I am awake because I don't like taking Tylenol, especially at night.
I am awake because I tried to sleep starting from 11pm and my body putzed out after 3 sleeping cycles. (At least I didn't wake up in the middle of one)
I am awake because my body doesn't know when to quit the fever.
I am awake because I caught something from staying up too late (suppressed immune system).
I am awake because I learned from my mom that the best thing to do with a fever is to encourage it, let it run itself out.
