So I'm about to finish my first week of working the midnight shift at FedEx. I actually work from 11-2, but whatever...I'm also done with Casual Male; figuratively, not literally...yet. I just can't handle the smelly-inbred-hillbilly-white-trash-beyond-fat-you-need-to-put-the-third-cheeseburger-down-no-more-trips-to-the-buffet people that come in there. Again, if a 6X shirt is too SMALL, do the world a favor and roll yourself off of a cliff. I'd say jump, but I don't think Earth's gravity well would allow that. I will say that working there has made me feel a whole lot better about myself. The fact that I am too SMALL to wear most of the clothes for sale does wonders for my ego. The people that work there are no better. The collective IQ of everyone working there (myself excluded) is combined at about 90...95 if it's sunny out. If all goes the way I'm planning, Monday will be my last day there...they just don't know it yet.
I interviewed at TGIFriday's the other day...now before everyone gives me shit for a. going back to serving, and b. going back to Friday's of all places...deal with it. I miss the constant moving around and quite honestly, I miss the whole "work today, walk out with cash today" concept that I grew soooooo used to not more than 7 months ago. It's a stones throw from campus; more specifically, from the dome and football field. It's the only national chain restaurant in the area, and they are always busy. Anyway, back to my sinister plan. I interviewed with one of the managers, and he liked my brand of bullshit; so he wants me to meet the general manager. Hopefully, I can start training next week. My plan is to hopefully meet tomorrow before work or possibly over the weekend, and start on Monday or Tuesday, seeing as how I'm off from CMXL. If it all works out, I plan on going into CMXL on Monday or Tuesday and dropping off my keys and not looking back. Yeah, I'm being a dick about it, but I really have no emotional investment there...that, and I simply just don't give a shit about the store. Well, it's almost 10, and I need to change to go to work.
