Here we go again....

Ok, so I start training at the new job tomorrow at 11 a.m. From what I understand, it's really not all that difficult, and the pay is pretty good, for the CU area anyway. But now I have a bit of a conundrum here...As most of you who read this know I passed the sheetmetal union test a while back; my interview is today at 5:48 p.m. That's the time they wrote on the letter, I don't know why it's so exact, so please don't ask. Now, if I have any luck at all, I will get through this interview just fine and get accepted into the union. I'm thinking I will just because of the fact that passed the written test, and my awesome ability to pass a drug screen. If I do get accepted, I will be working the once standard 8-5 shift, Monday through Friday, plus classes at night. I will be making over $15 an hour, plus benefits, and guaranteed 40 hours. The problem I'm having is if I do find out I get the job and am supposed to start on, say, next Monday, what do I tell the security firm? Normally, I would just say the hell with it, turn in my uniform, and be on my merry way. However, it's not that simple here; a friend of mine got me the job. I'm basically his replacement; he's moving to a different site, I think. I don't want to screw him over. Plus, I actually owe Securitas $109 for the fingerprint test and the PERC card application. (I know it's redundant, like ATM machine, I don't care, so don't point it out) They're supposed to deduct the cost out of my paycheck, like 21 bucks for 5 pay periods. However, if I get the sheet metal job, I'm not staying with Securitas. I don't know if I would owe them the full amount right away, or if I could pay them off a little at a time...I might be getting ahead of myself here, but I'm trying to consider all possibilities here; I've just become that type of person. Well anyway, wish me luck today, and let's all hope I can start to make some real money down here...
