Weekend

Saturday:

Aunt Céline's 50th birthday surprise bash @ Brasserie Douville.
I was *so* nervous because she is "that cousin"'s mom. He was there, but he kept low profile because he has recently gotten his gallbladder removed. IT was fun, although we had to stand a cheap Hammond organ bossa nova mode remix of popular songs from the the past 40 years. I was the last served out of the 50+ guests, but since the meal was good, I didn't complain. We got free desert at my table to apologize for the delay and their impossibility to produce the Caesar salad my mom was supposed to get with the Table d'hôte menu.

Sunday:
We went to Compton, in the Eastern Townships, near Sherbrooke and the Vermont border for an antiques exhibition. I helped Dad's friend's wife make her Old-fashioned Ice Cream demo dressed with my new Meta Red Gingham Check special set from my lucky pack, worn over my h.Naoto FRILL petticoat and with a red straw hat that I clipped my head bow barrette on. I only had rave reviews about both my outfit and my raspberry flavoured ice-cream! So we'll repeat next week in Rockburn and the lady I was helping said she'll try to wear a old fashioned dress too!

During the whole trip there and back, I used my splitter so me and Nick could both listen to my MP3s so my parents could chat in peace. Do you know the funny thing? After supper, Sunday, Nick was singing "Linda, Linda" and mom said he'd been singing it in his sleep in the truck while I was asleep too! It was so cuuute!
