I got my Meta lucky pack this week. I posted on EGL about it already.
First set fits like a dream:
2nd Set is a bit too tight for my liking, especially the top..
I might purchase this half bonnet to complete the kit. I also want to find socks that will match as the cream color is darker than my moka or offwhite ones.
Last Friday, My workmates celebrated my birthday. Even the boss's wife had signed my card, I felt special! I had a Key Lime pie for cake, free apple cider (my boss said he had attempted to save the mousseux champagne, but someone purchased it the previous day and he hadn't had time to buy some more) and a huge box of Chocolate Truffes like last year.
I attended Vince's bands shows. The venue had been renovated, it was nice. Only I was really tired and it was hot to die so I didn't participate much (i.e. no trashing, moshing, anything physically demanding). Vince said I must have given myself a lot of trouble to dress like I did. It was my first time wearing fake lashes and I had also pasted some musical notes confettis on my face using the eyelashes glue.
By a total twist of fate, his "cousin" Maya was also dressed in red (she had wandered on St-Laurent street near the venue before the show started (they got there like 3 hours in advance) and she had just bought that shirt. Vince's drum kit is red, too. So we were color-coordinated involuntarily.

The singer kept going out of the frame after I clicked to snap the shot, so he's in no picture! ; _ ;
Notice that Unicorn is wearing a "Zig Zag cigarette paper" logo t-shirt.
I don't have media of the 3rd band, they were entertaining, but nothing special. One of their songs had been dubbed "cookie paste" because another band they used to tour with kept hearing that in their chorus. Vince trashed like a mad man in the mosh pit and some of his moves looked like the Blue Hearts' singer's moves and I found it funny. When I left, he was all sweaty but happy and hugged me tight and wished me happy birthday for like the 100th time that day! LOL
When I left the concert hall, some guy in a huge-ass limo hollered at me "Hey, it's Little Red RidingHood!!!" Which amused me thoroughly because I was going at my granny's, and I indeed might have looked like that because I was wearing a red zip up hoodie over my AP JSK.
Since Kana was flat-out broke, he cancelled our "date", so Korean food and bowling was replaced by staying in Waterloo the whole weekend with granny. It was fun, still. Too bad I was having my periods or I might have gotten a chance at swimming for the first time this summer... Summer is almost over and I didn't get to swim, yet! :(
My gifts weren't too extraordinary: a medium sized Pyrex dish to replace the one my ex-roommate had broken and 20$ to buy a larger size one to match the lid the previous one had and my grandma gave me 20$ + an assortment of flavoured teas.
Here's random pictures Shima, our French guest Amane_Eri and I took after attending L2 this Wednesday. It was nearly empty and I got to chat with Leo. I tried to get into deeper convo, but I felt awkward and I was afraid of disturbing him although the place was nearly empty and he wasn't THAT busy.

Shima was supposed to have booked a band practice yesterday, but it turned out she didn't and I hurried up and showed up at the practice place for nothing. I ended up getting the appartment all to my self since she was sleeping at her drummer's so I invited her friend Pilou over and we watched the 6TH DAY and hugged and chatted, it was nice.
Tonite, I attended my aunt Céline's 50th bday bash at Brasserie Douville. I'll post pictures this week...
