My first month of summer is officially over and it has been pretty fun so far. I finished my first year of College with a really good GPA and made a lot of friends along the way. I had been working part time for PRI, the insurance company I've been with since 14. I just recently left though since my Uncle helped me land a killer internship with Jennison Associates, a financial planning group located in Manhattan. I just finished my first week at the job and its been quite an experience. I love getting up and going to the city in the morning but I absolutely hate getting home at 7 p.m. every single night. I just feel like the rest of my night flies and it's 11 p.m. before I know it. I can't complain though since the internship is in the field of my major and I am getting paid the megabucks haha. Megabucks for an 18 year old....compared to my previous job.
As far as my relationship with Christina...things are going great. Since it has almost been a full year of dating between us I have been thinking a lot about where I see our relationship going and I am pretty happy about it. We hit a few rough spots and are still slowly recovering from a few bad encounters but I think we are both starting to mature and really figure out the boundaries of each others likes and dislikes. I think I've also loosened up on a lot of issues that used to get me really angry and I can deal with them a lot better then I did a few months back. I can't speak for her but I personally think that if we continue like we are now, i'm sure we'll be together for a long time and maybe, hopefully forever.
Oh and one last thing. I was talking to a few people at my old job about highschool and friendships and shit and they asked me about my friends and who I felt I would be friends with the rest of my life. (This is just so I can look back 10 years from now) I think I will probably stay friends with Frank, Steve, Vinny, and Rich K for sure. I'm hoping I'll stay friends with Neal and Brendan also because those guys are the fucking best.
I'm hoping to meet a few good friends at college too because that hasn't really happened so far. I became good friends with a couple of girls but most guys from Post are a bunch of herbivores.
Well anyways until next time.....Payce!
