OH YAY!!!!

You actually were in the back of my mind, sort of a nagging worried thought. I thought maybe you had gotten injured or something.

I'm so happy and proud that you got into the Uni!!!! In Tel Aviv no less! Does the army help pay for your tuition at all? I know in the US a 4+ year commitment to the army earns you a free ride in the school of your choice (provided you get accepted), once your service has been completed. Great perks, but of course nobody wants to fight Bush's war for oil.

Um...two month block update on my life:

My roommate and I, who were such great friends, dislike each other now. I realized she is dishonest and fickle, and she realized that I'm just weird. I got three pet rats. I broke up with Andrew, who I had been with for a year and a half. I started seeing a new guy, Adam, who I've known for 5 years, went to high school with, and has always been close to my entire family. I finished my freshman semester at University of Wisconsin-Parkside. I'm back at my parents' house for the summer, and trying to get a job so I can pay for my tuition and books. That seems about it.

Awwww, you shouldn't have worried. I'm sure there'd be huge headlines on the news if I get injured. ;)

I was sort of going for "Tel Aviv or nothing" because I just fell in love with that university from the first visit. It's hard to explain. As for the army, they give me 11,000 NIS (which is about $3,400) which I can use for tuition, for opening a business or for buying a house (as if you could buy a house with that money. more like rent a bathroom) of course they don't actually put the money in my bank account, and I can't use it for any other purpose than these ones, but 5 years after I leave the army I can get whatever's left of it in cash and do what I want with it. Not a great deal for wasting two great years of my life, I'd say.
