Employment and amusement
Starbucks called today - I have a job starting Monday. Admittedly, it's a barista spot and not shift lead or manager, but it's better than unemployment. It's also better than many other similar paying jobs I could have gotten.
Amusement for the day... So Megan and I started playing Warhammer 40k a while ago (war games with miniatures - think expensive Army Men that you assemble and paint yourself). We happened to be in the local hobby store playing when a couple of the gamers started cracking jokes about one guy's nipples. No filthy language - the harshest word used was nipple. Some dad was in there with his boys, both probably aged 9 to 11. He actually complained LOUDLY about how we needed to watch our language, specifically our use of the word nipple. A hush fell across the store as we all tried to figure out if he was serious. I mean, this is a PG-13 game at the best of times, and he's going to bitch about the word NIPPLE? Somehow, the stupidity of sheeple still amazes me.
