Nearing the end of July...
Ah, what an interesting summer it's been.
Work is tiring, but it's a full-time job. I've worked all the hours I need for the free housing, so I can really quit at any time. But I'm thinking of switching to another job for the rest of the summer. My boss works us 9 hours days 6+ days a week, and the days are loooong. Sunday we worked 7 hours without a lunch break. Back breaking labor in the sun with no drinks or food = not fun.
Been sick since Sunday, but for once I went to the doctor in a timely manner. Turns out I have a bad ear infection and possible strep. Started antibiotics today, and got Vicodin to help me sleep. Can't work for two days, which means I'll only have worked two days this week. THAT part sucks, though I have lots of work to do at my other job that should make up for some of it.
Have court on the 30th. Chris' mother is accusing me of stalking her. It doesn't worry me, since I know it's bull, and I have been talking with the police about HER contacting ME. I've done nothing wrong.
But at least his situation with her is better - he's gotten most of his stuff back, thanks to a VERY helpful aunt, he got permission to stay on campus for the rest of the summer, and he's getting his income settled (though that is taking longer than we expected).
Apartment hunting! Pretty sure I've found THE place. Clocktower Place in Nashua. Converted mills; vault ceilings, wall to wall carpet, sunroom, pool... It's great. Viewing another option there on Saturday!
Things with Chris are going well, though the stress from his moving out and dealing with his crazy mother have taken their tolls on us. It's been better since he got his own place on campus, though. Love having him around, but working overtime 6 days a week, coming home tired, and then having to help him de-stress and be the strong one wear on you after a couple weeks. But it's improving, as is most everything else in our relationship. :3 Haha, well save for that we have been so tired and on/off sick lately that we rarely get "time" to ourselves. But I DO have those two days off this week...
And we're going to a gaming convention this weekend! I already booked the hotel. We're really excited, though I am not looking forward to seeing Tony. But I AM looking forward to seeing Bob, and getting off campus for a couple days!
