In the sweltering heat the earth breaks and cracks
Dry heat painful hardening the ground to prevent and cement tracks
Here at the edge of passing out it begins
One drop than two than many begin to flow
They run down cooling the heat and stirring things buried in your heart and soul
Things on the surface as well pulling you pushing you ready to break you or make you whole
Sitting or standing the rain pours down and cools boiling blood
As it runs down your skin it mixes with the sadness and sorrow there in
It hides the tears of a broken heart when they run down your face
It washes away anger and helps reflect and look past disgrace
In the rain you can let your emotions pour out and tell someone you love how you truly feel
In the rain with your spouse you can let the passion of love flow
The rain hides your loneliness as you let loved ones go
Light rain drops dance across and excite your skin and ease you mind
Heavy ones wash away anger and remind you whats lost and whats left behind
In the rain you can admire the beauty God has put into all his creations from animals to the one you loves soul
Grasping clinging looking for who we are wet we cry out to God to be whole
And when the rain stops we'll be broken, happy, beaten or shattered or we'll have poured it all out and for this one time let the rain flow through us and stand clear and whole looking over all the emotions that came out forming around you as a rainbow
