Six degrees of Wikipedia
It looks like a college student did some work on implementing a program that calculates the degrees of separation between two Wikipedia articles. It calculates how close Wikipedia articles are by number of clicks (a links to b which links to c, etc…)
My personal favorites that I just tried:
- Rush Limbaugh to Anal sex = 2 clicks (Rush Limbaugh → AIDS → Anal sex)
- MySpace to Suicide = 2 clicks (MySpace → Bebo → Suicide)
- Microsoft to Evil = 3 clicks (Microsoft → ASCII → 2 (number) → Evil)
- Jesus to Kung fu = 3 clicks (Jesus → April 15 → People's Republic of China → Chinese martial arts)
- NASCAR to Down syndrome = 3 clicks (NASCAR → Formula One → Damon Hill → Down syndrome)
