This is the last day of the year, so I thought it nice to look back at what had happened through the many aspects of my day-to-day existence. (blech, I'm really doing this because I'm bored and I need to join the bandwagon).

Domestic Affairs
I started the year at our little apartment in Makati. But my uncle had plans to renovate the building so we had to move to my grandma's house (she was in america at that time so there was no one to take care of the house). And for the first time in my life, I had my own room. Haha. The downside being I was directly above my grandfather's urn which scared the heck out of me at night. When summer rolled in, we moved back to the renovated building, and then this time to the third floor, with a loft room for me and my sister. Therefore, the house had a roof, but no ceiling. The pitter-patter of the rain was now completely audible and amplified to horrid proportions.

School
The second semester of my first year in college was nearing a close. Amidst all the hectic papers to write and all the coursework to finish, I managed to grab a 2.3 average (though I wish it would've been higher). This was also the first time I had summer term, which was COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY HORRIBLE. I had 9 units, chem 18, 18.1 and Hum Stud 20. All of which was a bucketful of hell. Hum Stud 20 (which we thought was fun) turned out to be a snorefest to the highest degree. I got a 1.25 for that one. Chem 18.1 was when I realized I had anger issues during laboratory sessions. Stifling laboratories and missing reagents were everywhere, not to mention the constant reports that had to be filed... I'm not really the nicest person in the laboratory. Haha. In the end, I gambled on my dreaded qualitative analysis and got a modest 2.75. Chem 18? No comment. I removed, then failed.

I retook Chem 18 again, along with Chem 31, Bio 10, Physics 71, and History 2 during the first semester of '08 in the June. AND I WAS IN THE ZONE! Even though I was the victim of late registration, I was excempted from almost every final exam, got past the dreaded qualis for 31.1, dissected a frog for the first time for Biology... I absolutely ADORED CHEM 31 (not without a few hesitations and frustrations here and there), and got a 2.4 GWA.

(FEAR MAI CHEMLAB POWARZ!) thanks to Mao for the photo

The second sem is here, and I have a feeling I'm going to survive it!

Otaku-ness

This year was the first time I've cosplayed. It started on February with the OMAKE CAFE (thank you DM for the costume!). I was a butler who served coffee, tea and sweets.

(OMG FEAR MEH)
(thanks to Ate China (shinyredballoon on devart) for the pic)

Next was for Ozine Fest '08, my first real convention. I went as Hiiragizawa Eriol and got a huge culture shock. haha. It was the first time I was immersed into this strange new world. Oh well, there IS a first time for everything, I guess. After which, I was "recruited" by Tamaki of HCC.

Afterwards was mangaholix Manga Mania... I went as... hmm... who DID I go as? It was Jyuushiro Ukitake Aizen Souskuke Random Shinigami number 5!

Thanks to Ate M for the epic, yet blurry photo.

After that, I went on a cosplay hiatus for a whole sem to focus on my studies. But I came back for AME 8th avenue, cosplaying Shimura Shinpachi (sorry, no pics) and again for Christmas Toycon as Watanuki Kimihiro!

That was the first time I've worn contacts, too!

Aside from cosplaying, I was hooked on Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch (R1 and R2), Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Mouyou no Hako, and Harukanaru tooki no nakade: Hachiyosho.

Lovelife:
THIS. IS. SPARTA!

Thank you to all the people who've been to my life. My friends (especially the folks of OMAKE, HCC and *aherm* some people from DPSM), My teachers, My family (XD), and more importantly, to God. May we have a blessed 2009!

Let silver stars shine upon us!
