Yep. So I had no idea that Enchanted was such a parody. I thought it was a children's, takes-itself-very-seriously, on-par-with-those-stupid-Barbie-musical-movies movie. But no. The first song had me thinking it was a straight-up parody. More like a tribute to all the Disney princesses. That was great, though. Amy Adams was wonderful. Patrick Dempsey was handsome. James Marsden was a lovable, narcissistic doofus. Peter Pettigrew! And a talking chipmunk! It was amazingly entertaining. XD And left me in a much better mood than Moulin Rouge would have. ...though I'm still going to have to watch that sometime this week just because.
Abridged 38 came out!!! I'M SO HAPPY. :D Kroze hasn't updated the main page yet, though.
FUNImation streamed FMA Brotherhood on their website! It took me 4 hours to load the whole freaking thing. =_= And... it was alright. I need to see more of it to judge it.
A couple of random things I forgot from the con report:
-As Mai and Jou, this was our most accurate year, age-wise.
-There didn't seem to be any one series dominating the cosplaying this year. The past years haev been respectively Death Note, Bleach, and Naruto. This year... there was a bunch of old stuff, actually. I've never seen a Digimon cosplay at the con before, and I saw no less than three Tai(chi)s, and a KOJI. From series 4. Ton of Pokemon cosplayers, too. Team Rocket!
-Didn't RBG! Need to do that next year.
-love_the_fuzzy cut me out of my wings with the tiny scissors she keeps in her purse. Because she's awesome.
-Also, we've come up with a cosplay idea for next year for the two of us that doesn't involve Yuugiou! (going as something other than Jou?? O_o;; )
I got like half of my movie shot yesterday. The rest will ::hopes fervently:: be completed this coming weekend. Now I just need to ask for MORE time off work.... T__T I'm losing an actor, though, already fired one, and recast another to a smaller role. I was going quite literally crazy, and was ready to call the whole thing off, so my teacher took over as director. Functionally, I'm assistant directing now, and he's in charge, but he insists that I'll still have directing credit. So all the recasting was his descision. I don't actually care that much, I just want to get THROUGH it. GAH.
Actual shooting was fun, though. It's just setting up the shootings that drives me crazy. My actors were great, my director of photography is great, everyone gets along, the weather was perfect... but all this in-between stuff! X_x If I ever do this again, it'll be in school. Or a documentary. Or something very different.
