Finally got to give Grant his birthday present yesturday! Took him skydiving! He loved it, and survived...it was cool to see the smile on his face. He did a Tandem jump, which is where an inexperienced student is strapped to a professional. It kinda sucked though, b/c our appointment was at 1:00, but the Skydive Houston place was backed-up b/c of the rainy weekends, so he didn't get to jump until about 3:30. So we just hung around and talked to people and watched people skydive. When Grant did get his turn though, I joined him in the plane, but didn't jump out.

I was hoping to sit next to him on the plane and see his face right before he jumped, but since they were backed-up and our group was small (Just him, me, the professional skydiver(Eric), and the camera-man(Tarek)) the skydive place joined us with another group on the plane. So therefore the only room for me in the plane was in the passenger's seat in the cockpit, and I couldn't see Grant. The plane ride was pretty fun still, though I got a bad case of ear pain for a while. And it was ok that I couldn't see Grant, b/c I got to see the tape of him jumping later. We have still pics too.

If you want to see Grant's skydive, just go to www.flyingarab.com, and then click on "videos," "Tandem," and then scroll down the list until you see "Grant's Tandem."

We also got some still pictures, and if Grant decides to sell some too his camera man, (aka the "Flying Arab") then the Flying Arab will post them on his site and then I'll try to post some in here with a link to the others. In the meantime, here is a pic of Skydive Houston's Clubhouse taken from their website www.skydivehouston.com;

Ok, now about today, I had my college algebra final. I think I failed it. It took me and hour to complete 20 questions, and I don't think I even finished all of them correctly. There was a total of 53 questions on the final, and when the teacher said "you have 40 minutes left" I panicked and skipped ahead to problems I could do quickly. So therefore I ended up skipping a lot of problems and I didn't have enough time to go back to them. We only had 2 hours to take the test. I am only away from a passing "D" in that class by 3 points, so I don't know if I'll have to re-take the class yet. I feel like such a stupid failure. I'm sorry Grant.
