I'm pretty damn tired right now. And by tired, I mean TIRED. *Sighs*
Alright, I guess I should talk about what's right first. Because, y'know, that won't take long at all. Nothing has changed for the better. Besides me getting the three Noir OSTs (1, 2, and Blanc Dans, which is essentially the third). Love 'em.
College applications have begun. That means...lots and lots of work. Before, I only had my 3 AP classes to deal with. Now I gotta look up colleges, do my FAFSA, and write personal statements and all. This is seriously wearing me thin.
Then English started. I didn't have English before because I had taken all the available first-quarter english (besides AP Language). Now our Student Leadership class (because I'm in student government) has to do daily journals.
Now about my APs. Gov was, and still is okay. It's not that hard of a class. But Physics...wow. The highest raw score on the last test was a 77. A freakin' 77. This BETTER be curved or something. Then there's calc. The homework is heavy, and when I check Powerschool (online grades and stuff), I have two missing assignments. I talk to the teacher repeatedly, and she says nothing is missing. Finally, we check the gradebook, and she DOES have recorded grades for my assignments. She says she'll update today just to make sure. I go home, and powerschool STILL shows two missing assignments! *Sigh* I have to waste more time clearing this up tomorrow.
Soon, I gotta do concurrent enrollment for community college. Why? Because I want to take English 7 next semester (to get rid of some college english).
To add to my stress, the ebay seller I bought the 7 Noir DVDs from emailed me yesterday, saying that my payment had not been recieved. Great. I respond, telling him that I had sent it last Thursday, and if it didn't come in, I would have to cancel the check. Then TODAY I get an email saying he recieved the payment. That certainly didn't help my blood pressure.
Now for my question: today, while our senior class was selling snacks, I noticed several members of our class and one from another class stealing things. I was busy at the moment, so I asked some of my helpers to ask them about it. First they said "We didn't open it!", implying that they had stolen it to begin with. Then they change their tune to "We bought it." One of them, apparently, felt bad about it and came to repay for the items. The others don't know that this person did that. My policy is that if I catch stealing, that person's hours (fundraiser hours) for one event will be cancelled (which means less money). But none of those parties involved have ANY hours at present. Some people are advising me to make an announcement in the next class meeting, singling out that person. However, I worry about that being the proper course of action. I don't care if my repuation is at stake here. What I worry about is being a strong, firm leader. If I refuse to take any action, people WILL steal. It's not a question of if, but when. But I might send out the wrong message by being too hard, and then I'd lose support for my events, and that's not a good thing with my totally apathetic class.
Help me out, people.
