Now I know...
As I grew up and heard college kids go nuts about going to South Padre Island for spring break I wondered why?
See, I first went to Padre in about 1979... during the Ixtapa oilspill. I hated it, I hated the oil that got stuck on my legs and the dead jellyfish and a whole bunch of things. I never went back and now I know why I had such a bad impression about the gulf coast.
Too bad that, now that I know it was better than what I remembered, it is just as bad as I remembered.
