Greetings the world of LJ!! It has been a while since I've updated, due to the fact that I still do not have internet quite yet. So I am currently living the world of lj vicariously through my sister. (She's checking and typing this post for me, among other sites I frequent)
Anyway, now for the update...
You may or may not have heard but I did get into my new apartment. Been working on it quite solidly and it's coming together nicely. Rainn and I really have enjoyed living here so far. We're gonna enjoy it even more when we get internet and tv back. :) It's in a great location and I have great neighbors. It's really nice for low income housing.
Still looking for a job but in the meantime I'm working hard getting Darkkitty Productions back up and kicking. First I have to catch up with myself financially though. I recently had a very touching experience and attended a special benefits show that some close friends and bands I had previously worked with through DKP had put together for me. It was a complete and total surprise when it was presented to me and the show turned out very well. They raised $374 and I got to keep it all to help me with my current financial situation. Thanks to such wonderful people I think I'll be able to catch up with myself really soon. The entire night was full of love and support as everybody greeted me with such open arms and sweet smiles. I am grateful to have such great friends. I'm slowly working my way back to the top, 2009 so far has been way nicer to me than 2008 and 2007 combined. So far the only downfall was having to have teeth pulled but I'm doped up and feeling fine right now, so that's good.
My recovery from the Jamon ordeal has not been an easy one but I am picking myself back up and have even started dating again. So far I've been graced with two great guys, one closer to me than the other however it's all casual because I am still not ready for a serious relationship. But it sure does feel nice to get a lil attention every once in a while. :) I am still mostly focusing on myself and I'm feeling better everyday.
I'm definitely looking forward to tax returns so that I can get a new car and a good boost financially. After that I should be fine and dandy. Hope this post finds everyone else doing well. Hope everyone's having a good year so far.
