Dog
Our next door neighbours are looking after a friend's dog for a couple of weeks. It's a rottweiler, and a big one at that, which is going to make the next fortnight really interesting for poor Nick whenever he goes out into the back yard. I guess I'll be hanging the washing on the line for a while...
Apparently though, the dog is really sweet, so I don't think there'll be that much of a problem, and she's also used to cats, so we can continue to take Mac out occasionally and not worry about the Rottie trying to jump the wall to eat him (Mac is fascinated with the outside but too daft to be an outdoor cat, so we take him out for supervised play sessions in the back yard).
Waking up to the sound of the dog crying in the back garden because it's been let out to do its business for five minutes and doesn't want to be left on its own is a little disorienting, though...
