(no subject)
Yay! The cheque from last week has finally cleared, so this afternoon we get to go shopping!
Ok, admittedly a little over half of the money has to go on my rent, but at least I can now pay that this week instead of worrying if I was going to manage to get it before the end of the month. But that still leaves a good couple of hundred for Nick and I to enjoy.
I think I can finally justify getting the DVD of Battle Royale II, for one...
Also, internet shopping is apparently due to get here some time between 12 and 1, which unfortunately will involve much lifting and carrying, but on the plus side means we don't have to go food shopping today either! Which, considering that the temperature doesn't really seem to have dropped round here, is something of a good thing. We're still melting here, even with windows open. Gah.
Also going to try and get something out to oktoberain by Friday via snail mail, since she's not internet-enabled at the moment and is apparently missing all her lj friends terribly. I just have to figure out what would be nice to send...
