Hey guys! It's been relatively quiet on all sides. Hope y'all are doing well. Things are up and down over here, but I am determined to have a good attitude about things. To wit:
- Birthday was good. Got together with a small group of friends for free beer and cheesecake (made by The Mister: coconut with a vanilla-lemon sauce and decorated at the last minute with a giant raspberry "M"), went out after that to late nite food cart pod and quite possibly was hit on by some tweed-hipsters because of my Dia de los Muertos birthday balloon.
Oddly, no one else really took advantage of the readily available party hats.

- Had my first ever craniosacral session and it was AMAZING. I really do feel like my reset button was pressed.
- One of my new duties at work is to provide voice talent for some educational videos we're developing. Had my first rehearsal yesterday and it went GREAT. Apparently I'm one of the easiest voiceover people they've worked with. ("They" being my co-workers as we're producing these videos completely in-house. So maybe they were just being nice. Or, maybe I'm just AWESOME.)
- The Mister is having some serious work struggles. Being The Mister, he's stressed himself out enough to get sick (or stressed himself out enough to succumb to ambient sickness, anyway). As part of my personal resolution to myself I'm giving him support but trying to let him figure it out himself too. I know he'll find a way eventually, but in the meantime, it's been pretty rough.
- I'm on week six of my new (freshly sanctioned by Stumptuous - so no longer "accidental") workout program. All I have left for Stage One are the burnout workouts. Woo! Don't feel much different, but I did end up squatting 80 lbs and shoulder pressing 45 (a big deal for me as I. HATE. Shoulder presses.). Rawr.
- Still woefully behind on my "holiday" knitting. But working on it!
- Baked another batch of pulla for a brunch party this past weekend. There might be an intervention in the works. My co-workers got me some flowers and a sack of Bob's Red Mill flour (get it? GET IT? 'Cause I totally didn't until someone pointed it out to me.) for my birthday. It is maybe obvious that I 3> the carbs.
- Recently read David Lynch's book on Transcendental Meditation, am now working on catching up on the Buffy Season Eight comic books, and have the Sookie Stackhouse series on hold at the library. No, I will not do any serious reading for the first quarter of 2010. :P
Again, hope things are moving along for y'all. I can't believe January is almost over already!
