Yes, I'm still alive

I've been something of recluse the last few weeks, many apologies to anyone who actually noticed or cared. This is the first time in a long time that I've had a big chunk of the day every day for myself, and suprisingly I'm really enjoying it. Sundays are my day off now, so yesterday I actually made it through an entire day without speaking a single word or encountering another human being, it's weird but it felt really good. I've never been good at this whole being "social" thing anyway.

This experience is only re-affirming my resolve to become a crazy hermit artist living in the remote forests of alaska. One day in the distant future, hikers will stray too far from the trail and stumble upon a crude painting of unicorns prancing on a rainbow. Suddenly, a shadowy figure will lurch at them out of the.. er... shadows, brandishing a rusted pallet knife and wailling about her red paint not being red enough, no, she needs real red, primal red! Their screams of agony will be drowned out by the sound of happy hardcore blasting from somewhere deep within the forest. Wait no, scratch that, I want an awesome banjo soundtrack, just like in Ravenous. Yes! Eventually tales of the insane painter in the woods will become a well known horror story told around campfires, and one day made into a crappy summer blockbuster, and although by then the telling of the gruesome tale will only take about 5 minutes, somehow through hollywood magic it will be stretched into a solid hour and a half! People will pay $9.50 for a ticket and wait in line for 2 hours to see the midnight showing of it, but I'm poor so I'll just wait 'till it's free on demand. Oh on demand, I love you so.

Actually, I suspect the only reason I'm enjoying this so much is because I know eventually the people will come back. As much as human beings frighten and confuse me, I unfortuately can't seem to live without them. I love being alone, but I hate being lonely, does that make any sense? I guess not...
