Come visit exotic Gen Con!
I finally got around to registering for Gen con, been meaning to do it for months but never really had money until now. That website confounds me greatly, however I'm told the awesomeness that is gen con greatly outweighs the confusing..ness of trying to figure out any information regarding the events and whatnot. Which is good, because I would probably go even if it sucks because I need to get my portfolio reviewed by "people in the industry." Crap, my portfolio, I should really get to work on that... Anyhow, the people who were going to come with me, namely Rob and Charlie, decided wandering aimlessly around Europe would be far more interesting (pfff) than attending what is hailed by the website as "the best four days in gaming!" So now I'm stuck going all by myself. I don't want to go by myself, damnit! Nerds are scary! I know, I am one! Well technically I'm a geek I guess, but that's neither here nor there. So I say to thee, comrades, come forth with me on a grand adventure to the mysterious land of Indianapolis! Please? It really IS supposed to be an awesome time, and hell I'll even pay for the hotel room, I'm just a bit apprehensive about spending 4 days surrounded by LOTS of people and not a familiar face in the crowd.
Also, that concert we went to see last weekend (Play! A video game sympony) is apparently going to be there as well. So if you like games OR music, this will be an awesome experience that you should not miss!
