Another Master and Slave thing snippet

Haha, influenced by lucathia-rykatu's style here, and I wanted to try to write a fairy tale-ish type narrative for this anyway. :3

*on the first sentence* ommmmmmg, why are you doing this to meeeeeee?? They don't look that different from humans?! So I could technically have three threads going on at once? *cry*

They don't look that different from humans?!
*wonders what you mean*

They were nearly indistinguishable from humans,
OOOOooooh, so the geists are nearly indistinguishable from humans? Didn't think you were going down that route!

Hm, from the description of how they leave behind a living husk... does that mean there are these kind of people who've been attacked around? ): Soulless people?

Little children's - yes, including you, so take care that you check every person to make sure they aren't a geist when you to speak with them.
Would make for a scary bedtime story... made even scarier since the geists are out there. How numerous are the geists?

The Gods sent down a psyven imbued with the power to fight the geists to assist the warrior.
So they're from the Gods? :3

Huh. I was intending to go for storybook format, not storyteller format. Ah well. XD;;
The story teller even hoped you'd have sweet dreams. XD

Have you settled on the names for the masters and slaves as these ones? :3

Plus, Aldran's kinda like an angel then?
XDDD!!! Are psyvens well treated then and looked up to?

"OOOOooooh, so the geists are nearly indistinguishable from humans? Didn't think you were going down that route!"
*cry* Neither did I! I was hoping for hollows from Bleach! Big mean monsters that make a nice big target and are labelled 'evil instinctual monter', not intellectual ones that are hard to tell apart from humans and can communicate with humans and - and - and - ;________;

"does that mean there are these kind of people who've been attacked around? ): Soulless people?"
Yuuup. :( I think I've found out how people know if there's a geist skulking around - they find the body. D: Not sure if the people who are attacked basically sit there or if they do move around, just...not energetically and don't really respond to people. Or maybe they do respond but they're kinda empty. D:
But then...what do people do with the soulless person? Arrrrgh, this is why I need to know how they worship and what they think of soulless people. (Are they damned? The soul's no longer there, so it's not the soul that's been damned. Do they think the person will turn into a geist? Which makes them really close to some versions of vampires. :P And anyway, wouldn't people then have to worry about possession of a soulless vessel?)

"How numerous are the geists?"
Not clans/nests of them? I think? XD;;; *is still working this out* I guess it depends on the size of the settlement: hamlet, one; village, two or three; town, more.

"So they're from the Gods? :3"
That's what people think. Poor Aldran's confused if/when he gets asked about it, since, well, born yesterday. XD;; (Waugh, secondary main character who doesn't remember anything! *facepalm* At least he hasn't lost them? *headdesk*)

"Have you settled on the names for the masters and slaves as these ones? :3"
Looks like it. XDD;; I should have done these last year - I would have known using Other was a bad idea, and Shodin might have gotten his name faster! But I would have had to have written Ronthar then, so would have spoiled. XD

"XDDD!!! Are psyvens well treated then and looked up to?"
I think both of them are, because 'omG, you have been considered worthy by the Gods to fight the geists!' (The slightly more detailed version is that the gods choose who they send the psyvens to and that the humans they choose are the honourable people who would always fight to protect. The kid was drifting off by that point though. XD;; This may have been little!Shanras, but I think she would have been asking a loooot more questions, or this is reallylittle!Shanras. XDD)
And these details might, you know, take the story off on another direction. *facepalm*

Now it's a lot less clear cut, since the geists don't look all that different. What's to say they're completely unlike humans? (And are there possibly any half geists...?)

What do people do with the victims of geists? That might stir up a lot of arguments and conflicts, since people probably have different views?

Not clans/nests of them?
What, what? Now you make me think geists are organized and intelligent.

(Waugh, secondary main character who doesn't remember anything! *facepalm* At least he hasn't lost them? *headdesk*)
XDDDD So he'll be almost a blank slate then? But not completely oblivious? He didn't seem too oblivious in your drabbles to the prompts I threw at you.

Haha, you wrote a summary already! It's a very cool summary. XD

This doesn't look like it was based that much on a master and slave scenario anymore, does it? XD
Lol, not very. XD; It's sure evolved a lot.

Aw, poor him; he's a battery. XD;;
Battery, hm, battery... XD;;; That reminds me of this manga! XD;;

"What's to say they're completely unlike humans? (And are there possibly any half geists...?)"
Haha...ha ha...ha..... Don't know about the half-geists (yet) but there's definite intelligence in some of them. *spoilers* Enough to have arguments with and hold proper conversations. *sigh* I don't think I'm ever going to be able to make a complete 'this is an evil mindless monster; kill it' scenario. At least, have that and keep it like that. XD;; But I prefer it that way anyway. :3

"That might stir up a lot of arguments and conflicts, since people probably have different views?"
More stuff to think about! XD;;;

"What, what? Now you make me think geists are organized and intelligent."
*snerk* They are. But I guess that makes them a good challenge - it would be too easy if they weren't.

"So he'll be almost a blank slate then? But not completely oblivious? He didn't seem too oblivious in your drabbles to the prompts I threw at you."
I'm not entirely sure. He picks things up fast? Understands what things do quickly? (Least he doesn't have to work out what the heck a TV is. XDD)

I'm very tempted to have the gods give him innate knowledge of the world so psyvens don't end up killing themselves by trying to find out...what a well does. If they should stay away from the large predator. What fire is.

I'm fairly sure psyvens are born knowing that they're there to give their khertan magic.

"Haha, you wrote a summary already! It's a very cool summary. XD"
Heeee! Now watch it change all over again!

"Battery, hm, battery... XD;;; That reminds me of this manga! XD;;"
Ooh! Shiny! :D *takes note of it*

If things were that black and white, that'd be a lot less interesting. =P Hm, and enemies with intelligence seem like they could be a lot deadlier.

I'm not entirely sure. He picks things up fast? Understands what things do quickly? (Least he doesn't have to work out what the heck a TV is. XDD)
Wait, is it because there's no TV in their universe? XDDD

I'm fairly sure psyvens are born knowing that they're there to give their khertan magic.
Of course, now you make me want to see a psyven who rejects that role. =P

"If things were that black and white, that'd be a lot less interesting. =P"
This is a very good point. XDD It would make decisions way too easy! There would be no thoughts/thinking about stuff.

"Wait, is it because there's no TV in their universe? XDDD"
Yes. That is exactly the reason why. XDDDD

"Of course, now you make me want to see a psyven who rejects that role. =P"
... The Gods would smite them for daring to go against Their will! Pffffthahaha. Dammit~ I somehow completely forgot I had that as a plot point! Oh, right, the other plot point came up. *takes a note* It can be tied to the first plot point, because that was where it was supposed to be anyway! XD;; huuuuuuge. huuuuuuuuuuge! Though, if they didn't give their khertan magic when they needed it, chances are they're in a fight against a geist so...they'll die if they don't give magic. :S
