Man, yesterday was interesting. Was in uni (as usual D:) and having lunch with my boyfriend outside. About half-way through, I sort of turned my head, because it sounded like there was shouting going on behind us, but it was too indistinct and from the sound of it, it should have been a crowd, like a parade or something, which, as far as we knew, there wasn't anything happening, and if there was one, the campus is out the way for where parades or whatever happening.
But like I said, could barely hear it, so just thought it was the wind whistling.
Except then it got louder and lasted longer and we could tell that it wasn't coming from a TV or anything, and if it was, it should have been rattling windows if we could hear it in the middle of the courtyard.
Was the high school close by playing rugby? Nah, can't be - it's a Saturday and there's no way there would enough people to make that kind of noise and yeah, it's rubgy so they wouldn't be shouting like that. Sounds like football fans. But... there's no football stadium near here and what, are they yelling like that on the way? Before the game's started?
And then the shouting got loud enough that we could actually hear what they were saying properly.
Yeah, my boyfriend realised that there was a match going on in the closest stadium and when we looked up the distance between the campus and the stadium, we found that the stadium's 0.8 of a mile away. And we were hearing them so clearly! I'd think hate to live right next to a stadium if you could hear all the fans cheering when their team scored.
I kinda wonder how big Infinite City really is. Because, it's a city, and Second Life is a realistic game, so the size of Inifity City has to be at least semi-realistic right? Except in World of Warcraft, you've got a grand total of one inn in the entire city, and one shop for each item type. So, there should technically be multiple shops for the same things and all that.
It was just, I was looking at my city from top of another campus and went 'wut' of the sheer size of it, trying to imagine what it would be like to play in a city this size, and like, my city's tiny. But then, that would be kind of not fun to play, if you have to travel ages just to get from one place to another and the best they have in Second Life (apart from Sunshine's carpet) is probably a horse-drawn cart. Huh. We really haven't seen any mounts yet.
So, I'll just go with simplified city. I bet I'll have been thinking about this and then I don't tour them around the city on screen, just like it seems like I asked about Lolidragon's house and it looks like I'm just going to skim right over it. *facepalm*
So, Lolidragon's job is being a hidden GM, so for her to do that, she needs to play the game. And since that's her job, that's what she's doing during the daytime too. ... Oh! Right. *forehead slap* There's that thing called uh, what, rotation? And her bosses can't expect her to play some twenty hours per day. And the amount of sleeping pills she'd need for that.
*ponders* In some senses, that could be a good way to discourage players from playing too long, because their body would have to wake up at some point. But then, sleeping pills. =/
Ha. I wanted to draw out Lolidragon, Sunshine and Kenshin's friendship, but the way things are going, it looks like they're going to be friends fairly fast? Sunshine and Lolidragon definitely before they leave for the concert and, well, I'm not sure what Lolidragon intends to do to try and make Kenshin smile. @____@ I'm scared.
The clock's have gone forward because we're now in summertime. ... We haven't had spring yet over here! DD:
I found someone who had joined ff.net really recently and just... yikes. Their account number is over two million. There are over two million accounts at ff.net. :O That's insane.
