Answers.com competition entry and mini_nanowrimo update, day 20

Today's mini_nanowrimo entry is a little different from my usual fare. While reading this news post, I spotted a plug for Answers.com's latest Creative Writing Challenge. They give a list of 10 words that must be used correctly in a composition (poetry, essay, prose, fiction, whatever) of no more than 750 words. The listed words must be hyperlinked to their Answer. That is very very true! I had to click through to the meanings of 5 of them, but even as I read those, I was slotting them all together into a very silly whole. :D

Congratulations on making a sensible whole out of such a weird collection of words. As for the subject? That made me smile (no mean feet at quarter to six). There are far too many health warnings being thrown out in the news at the moment, but the idea of enforced government health camps, ordered by fat cats in double wide chairs... Thanks.

I'm a huge fan of answers.com. The spelling alone is an education. This is brilliant. I looked up several words, but 'a lick and a promise' didn't surprise. *g*

Kudos for managing that. I thought I was quite well read and knew words most people don't know how to use or have no clue what the hell the words are.

But THIS lot had me scratching my head. I think I knew what four of them meant.
