Yes, another year of life has passed me by. Yesterday I gained another year in age, and gained a year more of wisdom. The day after my birthday is always a big one for me, because I see it as the first day of the new year of ups and downs and it's like a preperation stage for he challanges that face the newer you. And yes, you are newer because as you increase in age you gain more experience and wisdom, you may not act differently, but you have changed a bit - we are like snakes, they shed their skin, well, we do the same thing, on each birthday you shed your layer of skin to reveal the older you. And, unfortunately, for the third year in a row I worked on my birthday. I have celebrated the 6th of April of 2002, 2003, and 2004, my 15, 16, and 17th birthday respectivaly - working. Kinda blows. I booked the day off too, but they goofed of course. At least I had a field trip that day. My parents asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I said nothing. They will ask me again soon, I'll probably just say anime, or nothing again.
Yeah, the field trip was pretty cool - It was arranged by the religion courses. Went to the Museum of Civilization, saw an Imax (forget the title, but it was about the Myan people), looked at some Native American stuff, and then went to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. I'm not really Christian or anything, but it was really cool. Heh, in the room they have to turn off all the lights for 20 second every minute and can only turn on the light to an extremly low voltage because if they don't then the scrolls will start deteriorating and stuff. And, after the exhibit is over, they are going to be sealed away in some casket type thing in complete darkness for 5 years because they have been exposed for so long that if they are not put in there they will start breaking up and stuff. I found that pretty cool - now I realize why they wouldn't let anyone have cameras or anything - they would probably melt if a picture was taken of them.
Well, we found another guitarist for the band thing at school, so we are practicing on Monday because try-outs are next week, and then once or twice more because the performance is on the 21st. Those are about all the practacises we can get in because we are all so busy, and the others are in other bands too. Should be fun though.
Picked up April's Newtype, has an episode of Azumanga Daioh and Comic Party. Both really good, funny animes - especially Azumanga Daioh, I highly recommend them. I saw some Azumanga Daioh before, it's just way out there and just hilarious. I love the song the little girl sings in the first episode:
"Kukurimasho,
Kukurimasho
Tate Tate nani na dekiruga na,
Hai!, Dekimashita!
Heh, it's cute. Even the English version is cute.
I also brought up some of my theories in Anthro. today, mainly how all the major events (wars, diseases, epidemics, etc) were all some form of controlling the population. Think about it a bit, it makes sense. I would go into detail, but then we would have an entry like the my 2nd last one from this one. Yeah, it's long.
Ok, that's about it.
