Summer Begins

I'm back from a week at my grandma's house, a delightful summer tradition. I mostly went up on Saturday in order to go to the fair on Sunday or Monday, but there were other fun things that went along with the fair. For example, I went to my female cousin's sixth birthday party on Saturday and received free food, cake, and lots of time playing with small cousins while my older male cousin ran around with his friend (who ended up spending the night- ten and eleven year old boys are noisy, by the way). The fair was awesome, as usual, though there was some confusion and a bit of stress about whether or not my sister would be coming up (she did, and brought our mother) and then some about which rides she and my cousin were willing to go on because they're both afraid of heights. She refused to go on several unless he also went, and he wasn't always willing to try new things... In the end, they went on my favorite ride (one of the more thrilling/scary rides) and the Ferris wheel- twice on the Ferris wheel. I was happy. I also got a stuffed rose (my cousin actually won the carnival game, but I gave him two dollars to try again for a goldfish if he let me have the rose).

I also went shopping a bit for clothes- getting a shirt, jeans, and eyeliner- and books. Speaking of which, I am going to be posting the thing about books within the next day or two. I am determined about it this time. I also went to another cousin's (I think) baby shower yesterday. It was shorter than the birthday party and I spent the entire time playing with younger cousins, so I think I enjoyed it more. Then came back today, because I have to take the SAT on Saturday... Oh joy.
