Update like
I currently have a post on birth and a post on Ferguson/police/racism percolating in Word. But they are both proving bigger than I intended. So in order to maintain some momentum, how about a life update?
I now have an incredibly adorable, terribly clever 2.5 y/o that Never Shuts Up! Seriously. Never. I will sometimes beg ask him to please be quiet mommy is trying to think. His answer? "No! I want to talk." As he continues on. Oi. But like all small humans he is cute so we persevere. (Baby mammals being cute so that we don't eat our young is actual scientific fact.) But all in all I am enjoying this mommy gig. Not to say that I am not yearning to get back to design, but this is fun too. And on that note, Yes I am looking for architectural work. Preferably mid-level, but I will take CAD monkey positions at this point. So if you know anyone let me know. (DC Metro or telework) I have also started reading the 2015 edition of “What Color is Your Parachute?” and working through the steps of the ‘Parachute Method’ of job hunting. It is interesting and pretty good for me on the personal growth front as well. What is that saying about knowing yourself before knowing your enemy? Yea like that.
Beyond those two things what can I say there isn’t much going on. I spend most of my time wrangling baby, keeping the house from crashing down round us and keeping (most of) the CHAOS at bay. There is some knitting going on. There are lots of books. There is (sometimes) too much Netflix happening. There is some very minimal spinning going on, flaming and not.
We are unfortunately not at Burning Man this year. The situation is what it is but damn us miss being out there. Like really painfully miss it.
