Okay, so today was the first day of the media arts boot camp for 2D animation I signed up for.
WHOMG SQUEE~~~
So we did this excersise (... how the hell did I typo 'excersise' as 'sexcersise'?!) where we had to draw 4 poses.
Receiving good and bad news, then announcing good and bad news.
Yeah, so I did. 8D The instructor wound up putting my recieving good and bad news under the camera (we were looking at the screen the video was projecting on). Everyone went "Recieving bad news on the first one" and I was all "SUCCESS!!! \o/". People laughed, but whatever. Then he pointed out the good stuff ("Even without a facial feature to inform us about the mood, the body language makes up for it.") Then there were a whole bunch of other ones (But I swear to god, I think I'm the only one in the class with a anime style. Someone does SD style though.) Then came the recieving good news, where the class was split between recieving and announcing. The instructor ended up saying it was both and that is was a horrible thing to bet on. ;P But it seems I'm the only one who drew someone twisting around. Everyone else had their character facing completely in one direction.
After class, went up to collect my crap art and another student/participant said that my art was cute. It never seems like it online, but I'm acutally really shy about getting compliments in real life. While I don't go "No it isn't, it's crap. D8", I don't exactly say "Thank you" all that loudly either. *cough* So I guess it's my loss if no one talks to me anymore.
